Location

The quant spa town of Trencianske Teplice is located in western Slovakia, near the regional capital of Trencin. The first written evidence referring to the existence of healing springs in this location date back to 1247. In its time, the spa at Trencianske Teplcie was amongst the most important spas of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Besides several opportunities for relaxation, this location offers several opportunities to visit historical sites of interest, such as the Turkish spa hall, Hammam, dating from 1888, and Trencin Castle, dating to the Middle Ages. Thanks to its geographical location, and Slovakia’s compact size, Trencianske Teplice is an excellent place to serve as a relaxing and scenic base for day trips within western and central Slovakia, or the eastern regions of Czech Republic. Within easy driving distance is Slovakia’s capital city, Bratislava (1.5 hours), the High Tatra Mountains (2 hours), Banska Bystrica (1.5 hours), and Brno, Czech Republic (2 hours). The most famous cultural event organised in Trencianske Teplice is the internationally renowned ART FILM festival, the heart of which—the Bridge of Fame—is located a mere 70 metres from HOTEL PRAHA.
